Only four more weeks until the deadline June 30 for the 2010 Austrian Reining Futurity & Derby. The $ 100,000 added show will be held at the facility of Helmut and Dennis Schulz in Wiener Neustadt close to Vienna, Austria, on September 1 to 4, 2010. Besides the Futurity and Derby classes, there is a $ 20,000 NRHA Show including a $ 10,000 NRHA Lawson Bronze Trophy Open and a $ 5000 Non Pro.
Morey Fisk with eight horses in Wiener Neustadt
Europe’s best Open and Non Pro riders are expected for this show. One of them is Canadian trainer Morey Fisk who will bring eight horses to this show. „The Austrian Reining Futurity is one of our major goals this year,“ Morey says. „The show is a great thing. I was there last year for the first time and I was really impressed. The faciliy is super for a summer show like this, and this year the Futurity becomes even more attractive due to the big purse. We all go there, and I bet everybody else will do the same. I’m taking all my European Futurity horses there plus several 3-year-olds and of course our Non Pros.“.
The Austrian Futurity & Derby is open to all horses. There are three levels in the Futurity for 3-year-old horses with $ 25,000 added in the Open (Level 4). In the Non Pro, there are two levels. The same applies to the Derby for 4-year-old horses with e.g. $ 12, 000 added in the Open (level 4). Deadline for entries is June 30, 2010.
