NRHA Announces $100,000 Added World Championship Shootout

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – June 11, 2010 - Reining enthusiasts – make plans to be in Oklahoma City on Thursday, December 2 for the $100,000 added National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) World Championship Shootout. The Shootout is the largest added money NRHA-approved class in the world, and brings the NRHA Open World Championship to the NRHA Futurity & Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show.
The $100,000 added Shootout is an “Open to the World” class where the top Open reining horses on the planet will compete in a dramatic showdown for the NRHA Open World Championship. The preliminaries will be held Sunday, November 28 with the top 15 horses advancing to the finals on Thursday, December 2. At the end of the Shootout, the winner will be presented an estimated $36,000* in cash. In addition, the current year’s NRHA Open World Champion will be named.

· Largest amount of added money for NRHA any class
· In added money alone, the class stands 6th among the list of highest added money shows
· Will determine the NRHA Open World Champion in front of a live audience
DETAILS
· One go round with a 15 horse final
· 15 horse final will pay approximately $36,000* to the winner
· All finalists will be guaranteed a check in excess of entry fee
· Sept. 1 entry deadline = $1,000 entry fee ($100 Judges Fee and $20 Video Fee)
· Late payment due after Sept. 1 until 5 p.m. prior to the go round = $2,000 ($100 Judges Fee and $20 Video Fee)
· All late entries go first in the draw
*Estimated 30 entries minimum
