Europe’s No. 1 Trade Fair for Western Riders
For AMERICANA’s 25th Anniversary, Western Pleasure will play a major part in Europe’s premier western riding event. In the three Western Pleasure shows at the Augsburg fairground, there will be a total purse of $ 12,500 added.
In the Open Western Pleasure alone, there is a purse of $ 7,000 added money. No doubt that this should attract top international Western Pleasure trainers. The Non Pro offers $ 4,000 added money. Also, the Open and Non Pro Champion will be awarded a fine trophy saddle. The third class is the $ 1,500 added Masters Pleasure. But not only the purse is highly attractive – it’s the show itself, as no other European event offers the chance of showing in front of such a big audience. AMERICANA’s new show arena offers seats for 4,500 visitors. Altogether, the event attracts more than 40,000 visitors each time. The final of the European Pleasure Championship will be part of the evening show „Reined und Cow Horse Festival“ on Friday, September 2.
Europe’s No. 1 Fair for Western Riders and Fans of the Western Style of Life
2011 AMERICANA 2011 not only offers top sport but also Europe’s leading trade fair for western riders. Almost 250 exhibitors present their products at the Augsburg fairground – from clothes via boots to hats, from fences and stables to trailers, feed and horse care products. The ‚western rider’s Mekka’ includes five big halls (3, 4, 5, 6 and 7) and the open air area. Among the exhibitors, you’ll find leading companies like Boeckmann, Caramasov, Cayuse, Comanchero’s Group, Day’s Cowboy Headquarter, Ecoplan, Fairvalley, Fautras, Gomeier, Kenner Store, Loesdau, Ristau, Rieser, Saddle Shop Trading, Silverado, Texas Trading, Trail Rider and Woermann. Nowhere else will you find such a wide range and so many chances of comparing products. Please note that the opening hours of the fair have been changed. It is open daily until 7.30 p.m. (only on Sunday the fair closes at 6 p.m.).
Top finals in both AMERICANA-evening shows
Besides Western Pleasure, the most important finals will be part of the AMERICANA evening shows once more. Both shows were almost sold out in 2010, so visitors should book their tickets well in advance These evening shows combine high class sport with fine show and entertainment, each evening show having got its own special attractions.
On Friday, September 2, AMERICANA offers the “Reining & Cow Horse Festival” with the NRHA Bronze Trophy Open final with a purse of $ 40,000 added.
The top act of the evening show “Cutting Spectacular & Cow Horse Futurity“ on Satirday, September 3, will show the top 12 horses of the European Cutting Championship and the ERCHA European Reined Cow Horse Futurity with a purse of € 15,000 added money. Both evening show include show elements that have not been shown at an AMERICANA before.

The best way is a whole show pass which includes daily entrance during all days (August 31 – September 4, 2011) and both evening shows (category A tickets).
